Pattern Trading pattern description

ASCENDING_TRIANGLE-pattern

Ascending Triangle

Its a bullish continuation or reversal pattern formed within an uptrend or downtrend, respectively. It is defined by two converging trendlines, an Upper horizontal trendline connecting swing highs & Lower upward-sloping trendline which connects swing lows. The pattern visualizes a tightening upward edge, suggesting increased buying pressure. A breakout above the upper trendline in an uptrend confirms the continuation of the upward momentum. A breakout above the upper trendline in a downtrend suggests a potential trend reversal to the upside, though less common and requiring further confirmation.
